Wow, another blog to be thrust into the arms of the internet, and people who I don’t know, and probably will never know (also, thank you for coming lol). Today, I spent time with a friend, and we played basketball. During that time, I learned something about my other friend who I’ve been close with for a while. It gave me a totally different perspective on what type of person he was, and made me question a lot of things. As he’s my friend, I’m going to help him through things, and no matter what happens, I just hope he’s safe, and does what he thinks is right based on his judgment. I just took a cold shower (to shake off what I just heard), and had a moment where I wasn’t really in my body. It’s not like I went anywhere, my brain more or less took a break, so to speak, and I thought through a few things. That’s why I’m writing to you now, and why this blog isn’t like my others, because I’m actually being honest, not trying to be something I’m not. My point is, be honest with myself, and try to hold on to what I love. If I want to achieve something, I have to, we have to, go and do it. There’s nothing stopping us from working towards our goals, and doing something great. Now I’m going to eat dinner, before I lose my will to write.
Now that it’s been a few days, I’m back to writing! The experience of learning that someone might be different than who I thought they were gave me the chance to know myself better. It made me think about what I want and what I might lose someday, and to take advantage of the moment and the motivation that I have right now in my life. Learning to not always focus on other people's problems, and allowing myself to focus on what I love and my dreams. I can become who and what I want.
Music is an example of that and the musicians who you listen to every day are an example of that. They worked hard, focused on what they wanted in life, and thought of their strengths rather than their faults. Doing that can get you far, but you also need to be honest with yourself. Once you’re able to recognize when you’ve messed up or done something wrong, and are able to learn from it, and act on it, that’s when you can really live your life. During that process, music can come in handy to help you get away from everything, and take a break while you take time for yourself. It gets you through feelings, or, it keeps you in a specific mood or feeling that’s helping you. Nobody’s perfect, and this doesn’t have to be you all the time, but if you try, you can really make an impact on your life based on the things you want, not the things others want for you. Just being aware of what matters to you, and creating your own opinion based on your own beliefs helps.
I (truthfully) Hope this blog helps you with your own life. Have a great day!
